I’m Liv. I’m 21. I’m a feminist of the angry-shouty variety; and a politically engaged person of the liberal-lefty variety. I wear a lot of lipstick and have a lot of opinions. This is a place for me to document them – the opinions, not the lipstick.
Petticoats & Patriarchy is the ultimate lifestyle hub for feminists, women, and socially aware young people. Covering everything from contraception, to books about rape culture, to racism, to mental health,, Petticoats & Patriarchy aims to inspire young women everywhere to find their voice and challenge the status quo. By challenging taboos and educating people on social justice issues, Petticoats & Patriarchy hopes to change the world, one blog post at a time.
Originally formed in August 2014 as university hobby, Petticoats & Patriarchy was re-launched in September 2016 to really focus in on feminism and social justice (with the occasional book post thrown in for good measure!)
So if unashamedly confident women, social justice, and taboo-busting feminism are your things, then this is the blog for you!
